Fundraising is a necessary function of the PTO. All of the funds we raise are used to benefit the students (past, present and future) of the Stanley School in a variety of ways:visiting artists, buses for field trips, numerous school-wide events, scholarships and charitable outreach. In 2007, the PTO completed a major fundraising campaign to erect a play structure, Funway Park, in the front of the school.
We offer numerous fundraising options, and understand that everyone cannot participate in every one. However, many of our fundraisers come at no-cost-to-you! Some earn money by recycling items that you would normally throw away, some earn a percentage of purchases you already make. We understand that budgets are tight enough without the added burden of school fundraising, so we are working hard to make these no-cost-to-you fundraisers viable, and ultimately we hope to be able to rely entirely on them for our operating income. We can only make this happen with help from you!
We hope you can find some that work for you and help us give your children a more enriched education. Thank you for your support!!
SchoolRewards from Amazon.com
Amazon's SchoolRewards Program is an easy way for you to have a percentage of every purchase you make at Amazon.com donated to the Stanley School. Participation is as easy as entering Amazon.com using the link on the sidebar on all the Stanley School web pages, or better yet, click here and place this web address on your bookmarks toolbar or in your Favorites folder.
Participation in this fundraising has been slowly growing. Since we joined in November 2007, the school has earned nearly $200 in rewards! Please help us continue to make this a good source of revenue for the school by remembering to click through and encouraging your friends and family to do the same.
You can learn more about this program at SchoolRewards, or contact our program coordinator, Susan McKinney (susan@fffltd.com).

GoodSearch and GoodShop
GoodSearch is a search engine, like Google, which donates 50-percent of its revenue to the charities and schools designated by its users. It's a simple and compelling concept. You use GoodSearch exactly as you would any other search engine. Because it's powered by Yahoo!, you get proven search results. The money GoodSearch donates to your cause comes from its advertisers — the users and the organizations do not spend a dime! Every time you use Goodsearch for internet research, $.01 will be donated to the Stanley School. It doesn't sound like much, but it adds up quickly. Use the link on the sidebar to go to GoodSearch, and the Stanley School will become your default charity every time you use GoodSearch or GoodShop. Click on the link below the Stanley School on the GoodSearch page to see how the school has earned with the program.
GoodShop is an online shopping mall of world-class merchants dedicated to helping fund worthy causes across the country. Each purchase made via the GoodShop mall results in a donation to the user's designated charity or school – averaging approximately 3% of the sale, but going up to 20% or even more. Add the GoodShop link to your toolbar and remember to check it every time you shop online. There are dozens of participating merchants. Best of all, once you choose the Stanley School as your beneficiary it remains as a default setting. No need to log in or remember to pick us each time!
It is easy to add Goodsearch to your Internet Explorer, Firefox or Mac toolbar today, and help support your child's education! Click here for easy instructions. You can learn more about this program at GoodSearch, or contact our program coordinator, Susan McKinney (susan@fffltd.com).
Shaw's Receipt Rewards Program
Save your receipts every time you shop at Shaw's Supermarkets, and 1% of your purchases will be donated to the school. It doesn't sound like much, but it adds up very quickly when you consider the amount an average family spends each week in groceries. Since starting this program in October of 2007, the school has earned over $250 in rewards! There is no limit to the amount of register receipts we can collect and submit. Only original register receipts will be accepted and register receipts will not be returned. Send your receipts in with your child, or drop them off in the collection box in the Main Office.
You can learn more about this program at Shaw's, or contact our program coordinator, Ann Boriack-Sjodin (Ann.Boriack-Sjodin@astrazeneca.com).
Staples Rewards and Inkjet Recycling
The Stanley PTO is a participant in the Staples Rewards program. The school earns 10% of paper, ink and copy service purchases made with our Staples Rewards number (3629803143, also found through the school phone number (781) 642-7893). If you shop at Staples and wish to help us earn rewards, simply have the clerk enter our rewards number, or get your own key chain tag by contacting the PTO (stanleypto@gmail.com).
The majority of the rewards we earn come from recycled inkjet cartridges. So don't throw away those used up cartridges! Send them to the school and let us recycle them for you! Each cartridge earns the school approximately $3. Dell, HP and Lexmark are the most desirable cartridges. We can also recycle HP brand toner cartridges. Send them to school with your child (wrapped in a plastic bag) or drop them off in the collection bin in the Main Office.
Campbell's Labels for Education
The Stanley School participates in the Campbell's Labels for Education™ program. For more than 30 years, Labels for Education™ has been awarding free educational equipment to schools in exchange for proofs of purchase from the Campbell's family of brands. Simply clip the UPC coupon from participating products including Campbell's Soups and Pepperidge Farm Goldfish, among others. Clip the Labels for Education coupon from the package and send them in with your child. The collection bin is located in the Main Office of the school.
This is a new fundraiser in 2007 and we do not have a coordinator at this time. This is a perfect job for someone who finds it hard to get into the school to volunteer, but still wants to help make a difference. Please contact Susan McKinney (susan@fffltd.com) if you would be interested in becoming the coordinator.
Target Take Charge of Education
We've discovered a terrific way to raise funds for our school and all you have to do is use your Target® Visa® or Target® Card! The school will receive a percentage of the amount of each purchase in the form of a cash donation ($65 in 2007) from Target through the Take Charge of Education® program. It's easy to designate the "Stanley Elementary School" at target.com/tcoe, or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate our school. So if you're going to Target anyway, please consider designating the Stanley Elementary School School when using your Target® Visa® or Target® Card. Big thanks to those who are already doing their part to make a great school even better!
Cookie Dough
We will be asking for your support again next year when we sell Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough. Look for materials to arrive home with your child sometime in January or February 2009.
Cash Donations
The Stanley PTO will happily accept your tax-deductible cash donation! When making your donation, please indicate whether you require a receipt for tax purposes. The Stanley PTO is a qualified 501(c)3 organization. Thank you for your support!
